An analysis of the research themes tackled in each Caribbean country provides new information which is useful to better understand and interpret the issues at stake.

In order to provide the best possible answer to the question posed by the research themes, we have opted for a number of graphs to help us provide some answers:

Graph: Number of publications by therapeutic area                graphe aire thera2

This colored histogram illustrates the evolution of the main areas of research in the Caribbean, broken down into 5-year periods. Each bar represents a 5-year period, indicating the number of publications in key fields such as public health, ecology, oncology, etc. The height of the bars and the different colors provide a quick overview of the evolution of research priorities in each country, making it easy to identify trends and growth areas. A horizontal black bar indicates the number of publications by the 1st and last authors in the country of analysis, illustrating the relative share of these publications in a specific theme.

Graph: Mapping of Keyword Interconnections for all publications in the country analyzed

This network graph, designed with Vos Viewer, visualizes the links between the most frequently used keywords in the country's scientific publications. Each node represents a keyword, with its size indicating frequency of appearance. The lines between the nodes illustrate the relationships and co-occurrence of terms in different publications. Various colors help to distinguish the different thematic clusters, revealing the predominant research areas and emerging trends in each country.
